4 Tips on Organizing Family Photos

By cinukai

Family photos are a sentimental reminder of our loved ones and happy memories. Looking through family photos makes family memories. Unfortunately, they can also be a cluttered mess. Here are four tips to help you organize your family photos:

4 Tips on Organizing Family Photos

1. Sort by event or time period.

This is the easiest way to organize your photos and it makes finding a specific photo much easier. Sort them into folders based on the event or time period that the photo was taken. For example, you could have a folder for “vacations”, “birthdays”, and “Christmas”.

2. Create an album for each year.

If you don’t want to sort your photos by event or time period, you can create albums for each year instead. This will also make it easy to find a specific photo. You could have an album for “2013”, “2014”, and so on.

3. Use digital photo organizing software.

There are many different digital photo organizing software programs available, such as Picasa and Photoscape. These programs make it easy to keep your photos organized and even allow you to edit them if needed. You may need help with this one, but luckily a young person can do it and will love to help you.

4. Print out your favorite photos.

This is a great way to preserve your memories and also free up some space on your computer or phone. Print out your favorite photos and put them in an album or frame them and hang them on the wall.
